Pearson and ServiceNow have announced a three-year global collaboration aimed at enhancing workforce development and employee experiences amid the rapid transformation brought on by AI. Pearson, known for its lifelong learning programs, and ServiceNow, an AI business transformation platform, will integrate Pearson’s Credly certification system with ServiceNow’s AI-powered platform to support global reskilling efforts and streamline skill tracking and accreditation for employees.

The partnership will focus on preparing organisations and employees for a world increasingly shaped by AI, with an estimated one billion people needing reskilling by 2030, according to the World Economic Forum. In its first phase, ServiceNow and Pearson will jointly conduct research to examine the impact of emerging technologies on the workforce. This study will assess changes in job demand, skills automation, and the roles organisations should prioritize as AI transforms traditional employment landscapes.

ServiceNow’s Now Platform, which includes tools like Now Assist GenAI, will be deployed across Pearson’s operations to improve employee productivity, streamline talent development, and create a supportive learning environment. This will enable employees to engage with AI-powered learning resources throughout their careers, from onboarding to retirement. Furthermore, Pearson will use ServiceNow’s Source-to-Pay Operations to enhance internal processes like supplier onboarding, ultimately creating a more efficient employee experience.

The collaboration is a strategic move for both companies. Vishaal Gupta, president of workforce skills at Pearson, emphasized that, “AI and technology are moving at a breathtaking pace, and we need learning and skills development to move just as fast.” ServiceNow’s Jayney Howson echoed this sentiment, stating that the company’s role in the partnership will help address the expanding talent gap, positioning ServiceNow to “shape the future of work” and drive innovation in an AI-focused economy.

This partnership reflects Pearson’s ongoing dedication to equipping the workforce with in-demand skills and ServiceNow’s vision of a unified learner experience. Both companies are set to integrate predictive, AI-driven tools to anticipate workforce needs, fostering a talent pool ready for the challenges of an AI-driven world.
